Marjorie Hope Rothstein LuxeLife Stylist: Fine Living Consultant/Interior Designer,
Spa Trends Specialist, Journalist, Fine Artist

Marjorie Hope Rothstein is a Luxe Life Stylist who has synthesized her professional training in fine art and interior design into a unique niche, The Fine Art of Living Well. Her first exposure to creating fine art was in her mother’s sculpture studio on Long Island and then the powerful museums in New York City, especially MOMA  were she became enthralled with the sculptures of Jean Arp, Noguchi, Miro, Henry Moore and all the mid-century modernists. Later she trained with masters at the Art Student’s League including Jose Creeft ( a colleague of Picasso), and Alfred Van Loen at C.W. Post College as well as Leonard Schwartz at Mt. St. Mary’s in Los Angeles. Rothstein went on to professional training at Boston University School of Fine and Applied Art, New York University, and post graduate studies  at UCLA Interior and Environmental Design Program. (see Art bio)

As a multi-faceted cultural creative, her first job was helping launch the Gucci fashion boutique on Fifth Avenue in New York. She then moved to Los Angeles, for post-graduate studies, and landed a job as an apprentice to Robert Cory, who was a world-renowned interior designer and had a thrilling opportunity to design celebrity homes. Having a ‘drive on’ in the ‘80’s at Twentieth Century Fox Studios to help design the CEO’s (Marvin Davis, Allen Hirschfield) offices as well as their homes was a peak experience.

However, being exposed to the power brokers in the movie industry sparked her deep desire to create an optimum life beyond the hype. Her passion to understand our true divine nature led her to attend personal growth workshops with such luminaries as Deepak Chopra, The Reconnection 1 &11 with Eric Pearl, Reiki 1,11,111, Insight 1, 11, 111, and several other human potential seminars and certifications.

As a fine artist and interior designer, she realized that the key to a fulfilling life was throught realm of the senses (and beyond), by creating and experiencing beauty in all forms. Thus, combining beauty with spiritual pursuits guided her to another new way of expression through writing. Rothstein synced her passion for beauty with the art of living well into a search for the ultimate in self-care through visiting and experiencing healing retreats and spas. Taking a deep dive into exploring the sensual, life affirming and regenerating places to explore the art of self-care, she became immersed in seeking, visiting and experiencing these sybaritic sensations and passions to share them through her writing, reporting and columns.
